Camping Trip

This weekend, my brother David and I met with some of his friends from Lexington and went camping at the Red River Gorge. We couldn’t have asked for better weather! It was a perfect fall weekend!

Even though we got to the gorge late, started at the wrong trail head, found most of the camping spots already taken and had to pitch our tents in the dark, it was a great trip and much needed getaway!

We camped off the Auxier Ridge trail then hiked out to Courthouse Rock the following morning. After the hike, we headed down to Miguel’s Pizza for lunch before heading back to Lexington to watch the UK football game. Boo for losing to Florida, but at least it was a pretty good game.

    I really need to go camping one of these days. Haven’t been in years…unless you count that night @ Scotts :)

    We should go sometime, though when the baby arrives, your opportunities will be more limited :-)

    hmmm camping….real camping…Melissa calls camping staying at a motel 6 instead of a Holiday Inn! :) I have a new tent that needs opened and used…
